“Tell the People I Love Them” was the message the Lord wanted the Residents of Pittsburgh to hear. 

From June 4^th to June 7^th, 2009, 27 dedicated Christian Brothers and Sisters formed in a Unified Body of Christ, and supported by Angels and a Global Team of Prayer Warriors, gave themselves away to proclaim His Kingdom by delivering God’s message of Love and Hope to 18 of His Children at the KP#7 Kairos Weekend.  Many hearts were touched by “God’s Special Time” and openly stated their feelings at the Closing Ceremony where Community Guests were privileged to hear witness statements to God’s work on the weekend. The weekend was followed one week later with a well attended Instructional Weekend where the concept of Prayer and Share Groups were introduced to our new friends.  This instructional permitted the bonds created through the 3 day Kairos to strengthen and mature to build on the Christian Community within the Institution.  The Ultreya, which followed, was a witness to God’s love in action.  New Residents came together with former Kairos Weekend participants, formed Prayer and Share Groups and gave witness to what God was doing in their lives.  Praise the Lord.  As leader of KP#7 I was blessed with a family of friends who wished to Glorify our Lord and Saviour through their time and talents.  Many thanks to the KP#7 Team, Team Leaders, Angles, Prayer Warriors, and Closing Guests who gave of themselves so that others could hear the “Good News” Message of “God’s Special Time”.  A special thank you to the Pittsburgh Chaplain, who being new to the institution and Kairos, was instrumental in recruiting, managing the institutional and logistical issues, and acting as our liaison with Administration.  Through the efforts of many, and guided by the Holy Spirit, our new friends heard about God’s love.  They now know that when they feel far away from Him, they know He is there; ALWAYS.
